Posted: February 12, 2016

Did you know that there are many ways to easily find patients using the simple patient search?

    • A search requires a minimum of two characters.
    • An alpha entry will search by last name.
      • Example: “Smith” or “Smi”
    • To search by last name and first name, insert a comma between last and first name. This rule applies when searching by nickname.
      • Example: “Smith, Jane”  or “Smi, Ja”
    • To search by first name only, insert a comma before the alpha characters. This rule also applies when searching by nickname.
      • Example: ” ,Jane” or “,Jan”
    • Date of birth does not require dashes or slashes but must contain 8 digits.
      • Example: “08081956” for 8/8/1956
    • Phone number does not require dashes or slashes but must contain 10 digits.
      • Example “8777383471” for 877-738-3471
    • To search by patient ID number, insert # before the numeric characters.
      • Example: “#123456”

This search is available on the navigation bar and Patients Dashboard screens within RevolutionEHR. We invite you to give it a try!
