Did you know that there are many ways to easily find patients using the simple patient search?
- A search requires a minimum of two characters.
- An alpha entry will search by last name.
- Example: “Smith” or “Smi”
- To search by last name and first name, insert a comma between last and first name. This rule applies when searching by nickname.
- Example: “Smith, Jane” or “Smi, Ja”
- To search by first name only, insert a comma before the alpha characters. This rule also applies when searching by nickname.
- Example: ” ,Jane” or “,Jan”
- Date of birth does not require dashes or slashes but must contain 8 digits.
- Example: “08081956” for 8/8/1956
- Phone number does not require dashes or slashes but must contain 10 digits.
- Example “8777383471” for 877-738-3471
- To search by patient ID number, insert # before the numeric characters.
- Example: “#123456”
