Tired of entering information from your refractive devices into RevolutionEHR?  You should be!  Device Integration eliminates the need to enter information collected by refractive devices into the medical record.  Instead, information collected by these devices is imported directly into the test area of the patient exam record within RevolutionEHR, just as if you typed it yourself; greatly improving exam efficiency and accuracy.

We’ve partnered with Marco to support their devices in RevolutionEHR 5.3.4 for our first integration, and we will continue to add support for other vendors’ devices. There is no extra RevolutionEHR cost to use Device Integration, and the MarcoConnect software provided by Marco is also free.  You will need to purchase a kit (cable and USB adapter)  from Marco for a one time fee of $170.

To get started, first, consult the Marco User Guide for instructions on how to enable the Marco interface and get your credentials , then contact Marco at 800-874-5274 and let them know you are a RevolutionEHR customer and that you need the MarcoConnect software and connector cable.

Once you receive the MarcoConnect software and connector cable from Marco, here’s how it works.  You install the RevolutionEHR aware MarcoConnect software on a computer and connect that computer to the Marco equipment with the connector cable.  During the exam, the MarcoConnect software presents a list of active RevolutionEHR encounters.   You simply pick your patient from that list and you’re done.  MarcoConnect automatically sends the refractive information collected for that patient to RevolutionEHR and we store it in the appropriate test.  It’s really that simple.  Check out our Marco User Guide for more details.
