“Imported” items come from a master database. Though the items show up in your product catalog, what you are really seeing is the information from that master database. That way, if any product option information is updated in the master database (colors, sizes, etc) it is updated for all users. These imported items cannot be edited. In order to make any/all products editable the user would have to “Add Products” vs “Import Products”.
