Why can't I remove services from the coding screen in an encounter?

The services that you are trying remove from the coding screen are most likely already assigned to an invoice. If you go to the “Check out/Billing” screen within that encounter you should see that the services that you are trying to remove are no longer “unassigned”. The charges must first be removed from the invoice before you can remove them from the coding screen.
