When should I start submitting ICD-10 codes on claims?
The determination of which code set to use is driven by the date of service and not by the submission or billing date.
- Claims for dates of service prior to October 1, 2015 must be coded in ICD-9.
- Claims for dates of service on and after October 1, 2015 must be coded in ICD-10.
RevolutionEHR Managing ICD-10 since 2014 with More to Come
Our ICD-10 preparation work has been progressing since 2014 when we loaded ICD-10 codes into the Administration section of RevolutionEHR. In an upcoming release we will be adding enhancements to your practice’s listing of common ICD-10 codes as well as providing mapping assistance for transitioning ICD-9 to applicable ICD-10 codes.
